Why Your Business Should Use A Social Media Agency And Why Social Media Can Help You Grow

Social media in the twenty first century has grown hastily. Since 2003 the social media world has expanded to beset the whole of the globe, and basically every part of it is on a social media website save a few countries such as North Korea, Somalia, and maybe Cuba but soon that might change. So what exactly does that mean for business? Why social media? Why use a social media agency?

Well if you gander at how many people there are on any given social media agency such as Facebook, or Twitter it’s rather fine why your business should be on one of these websites. The statistics of these companies are pretty clear, as of 2011 Twitter boasts around 200 million individual users (of course rounded up) and Facebook had more than 800 million active users. Those numbers alone are pretty impressive.

Here’s the deal with Twitter. 119 million Twitter accounts follow one or more other accounts, 85 million accounts with one or more followers as well. There are 56 million TWitter accounts following no other accounts, and 90 million Twitter accounts with no followers. All of these numbers are as of April 1, 2011. It’s now halfway into January of 2012. Those numbers are sure to have changed, probably expanded over that time period. And though the number of people who have no followers, and or are following nobody might be large is doesn’t speak to the truth of immediacy of following people on Twitter.

Facebook of course speaks a different story because Facebook speaks over 800 million active users world wide. That number is growing by the day as well. According to Facebook’s own statistics page more than 50% of active users log onto Facebook in any given day, and the average user has 130 friends. There are more than 900 million objects that people interact with (pages, groups, events and community pages) and the typical user is associated to 80 community pages, groups, and events. As well there are more than 70 individual languages available on the site, and more than 75% of users are outside of the United States.

With those numbers given to you it’s basically a no brainer as far as why your organization should consider using social media to outreach to promising customers. There are hundreds of millions of users on both Twitter and Facebook, and those numbers are more than likely going to grow over the next few years. Fairly soon half of the population of humanity is going to be on a social media website. The future of marketing is changing, and as a company it’s time to change with the times.

Discover the Secret of SEO Copywriting

If you’d like to raise your site’s position in the search engine rankings, you need to get your on-page copywriting right. The issue is that you do not know what ‘right ‘ is. Clearly the keyword phrase you have chosen needs to be in there, but how often? So you scramble around and look at the information from all the SEO gurus and what do you find? All of them say something different. One might say to make your keyword phrase 1.5% of your copy and another might say 3.5%. Who’s right? The answer varies from ‘no one truly knows except the individual who locked Google’s algorithm in the vault ‘ to ‘it depends.’

So what do you do? It’s easy. You review the your competitor’s websites. Type your keyword phrase into Google (or whichever search website you want your website to appear on prominently) to discover which sites come up on the first page. Now, you need to recognize there are numerous ingredients that go into the recipe that goes into awarding them the top spots in the search engine rankings. Only one of them is their SEO copywriting. So if you would like to get more sophisticated, you must also check out other considerations like directory listings, back links, and whether the keyword is in the URL, title and web page description.

So check out these web pages because they are clearly getting something right. Take the pages that are in the top positions in the search results, and copy it into Word. Look at the word count for the copy. Then use the ‘find ‘ button to hunt for your keyword phrase. If you’re using a phrase such as ‘copywriting for SEO ‘ you need to add up how often that phrase is employed, and then work out that as a proportion of the total words on the page. You also need to count how often ‘copywriting ‘ and ‘SEO ‘ are used outside of that keyword phrase. Again work out the use of each of these keywords as a percentage of the total words. That tells you the share of times you need to use each keyword in your own copy.

You also have to focus on the way the keywords phrase ‘copywriting for SEO ‘ and the keywords ‘copywriting ‘ and ‘SEO ‘ are employed in the headings and sub heads. You want to model your page after this too. Also, ensure you add your header tags so that Google knows what’s important on that page.

So there it is. Stop wondering what you need to do and use the competition as a guide. You can do it yourself or if you’re strapped for time, find a website copywriter to help.
