The most recommended software to use for design is adobe Photoshop.

Before you get started, you have to understand the theme of the ebook. If you cannot understand the theme, you would not be able to create a good cover design, which is related to the content of the book. Some people would try to create wonderful cover but sometimes the cover design is not related to the content of the book. Top Things Web/Forum Owners Often Overlook

If no one is signing up on your website, you may be forgetting some major things.  Whether it be from a mission statement to color of text, if it doesn’t seem right a guest may instantly leave.  I will be going over some of the most commonly overlooked website details.

#1.  Logo

Think of your site from a guest’s POV.  When you go to a new site, what is the first thing you look at?  The logo.  This is one of the most important details of your site, so you should probably have it be relevant to your site and make it match.  Make it welcoming and don’t have it interfere with any other elements of your site.

#2. Welcome / Mission Statement

You should have it close to the top of the top of the page, before any content begins.  Don’t put any warnings on it, make it inviting!  If you have something that no other site in your niche has, ow it off!  Tell your guests what it is, and don’t be afraid to add links.  Take a look at ours for an example. You may have to log out!

#3. Advertisements

Don’t kill your site with frustrating advertisements!  If you have any, don’t put them in the header.  Put them in the side or footer, and make them match.  If you went to a site and the first thing you see is an advert, would you stay?  Also, NEVER use pop-ups!  Nobody will ever comeback to your site if every time they visit they have to click ‘x’ on a few more windows.

#4. Registration

Having just what you need on the registration page is great.  Don’t add extra.  If you don’t need it, don’t put it there!  Never ask for your gender, IQ, sexual preferences, relationship status, etc.  People don’t want to give that out.  Locations may be okay, but guests will be more than happy if they have to answer only 6 or so questions, rather than 20.

#5.  Home Page

You should make sure you have everything placed well.  Have an easy log-in and registration box, welcome message is carefully placed, and each side is about the same size.  Nobody likes to scroll down more than they have to, so if there’s no room for something you don’t need, don’t place it.  Make your home page short and welcoming.  I have been told my home page is a great example.  Don’t put your site stats there if you have nothing to brag about.

I hope this will help you, and if you have any feedback just reply!

The vital importance of effective web design is becoming clear to businesses which are competing for customers online. These days more and more business people are realizing that web design and online marketing are worth investing in.

Website, be it personal or for business goal, must look professional visually. The primary goal of a web design is to cater to the visitors’ demand and expectation. To do this, you must have an effective web design. You can’t promote your website with poor design. With poor design implementation and errors of web design such as poor load time, poor overall appearance, poor content, poor navigation, poor browser compatibility, overuse of distracting elements and no Meta tags, you could not only kill the interest of your visitors or destroy your business but also kill the ethical standards of basic web design.

One of the most important aspects of website design is navigation as this determines not only how easily users will be able to reach different parts of your site, but how search engines index your site for search results. The second aspect needs to be considered is sound and music. Embedded sound or music can drastically change the way someone sees a website. Thirdly, if a font is too difficult to read, people will not stick around to look at the information you are trying to share with them. There are many other factors that need to be considered while creating a website design.

In this tech savvy world, you require expertise and pragmatism in web design, graphics, search engine optimization and content as well.
